As the CFO, you will oversee the accounting and finance team as well as make decisions that help the organization continue to grow.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions
  • Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business
results
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation,
enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions
  • Prepare annual budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans
  • Create and update standard operating procedures for processes supporting regulatory reporting and code of ethics compliance

  • Define and develop contract management procedures for specific contracts; inform and train project employees and contractors
on contractual procedures
  • Assure compliance with Company, client, local and other legal administrative requirements, and regulations; ensure timely
completion of project deliverables; perform project and field audits to control compliance and create audit reports
  • Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
  • Coordinating activities of external auditors
  • Providing management with contract and financial information vital to the decision-making process
  • Managing the budget and project cost development process
  • Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes
  • Evaluating accounting and internal control systems
  • Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
  • Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
  • Support hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff
  • Develops, coordinates, and administers contracts for products and services
  • Serves as point of contact with our Clients and Partners as both Contract and Subcontracts Administrator for all assigned
contracts.
  • Reviews solicitation requests to ensure compliance with terms and conditions
  • Assists with proposal pricing and narratives
  • Conduct price and cost analysis for estimate development and lead the company’s response to clients for all pricing
requirements
  • Negotiates contract terms from proposal stage to contract close-out in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and company
policies
  • Evaluates supplier proposal responses
  • Prepares Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) compliant files
  • Negotiates pricing and terms/conditions with subcontractors
  • Ensures Annual Representations and Certifications are completed
  • Analyzes risks and identify risk mitigation




Experience Requirements:

  • Small company management preferred
  • Job cost accounting experience
  • Finance and contract management experience required
  • Successful history of managing a variety of subcontract types, interfacing with internal customers, other functional support staff,
and suppliers
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Knowledge of administrative tasks and responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging environment
  • Excellent time management: able to work independently, establish priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Proficient computer skills

  • Experience with Sage Accounting Software a plus

  • License/Certification:
  • CPA or CMA certificates (Required)
