We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Development and Communications Officer to join our team in the Non-Profit Industry. This executive-level role is a unique opportunity to shape and direct our organization's fundraising efforts, communications strategy, and overall brand identity. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive development strategy to support the organization's mission and vision. They will also lead the planning and execution of all communication efforts, including public relations, marketing, and digital media. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a proven track record in fundraising and communications.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage all aspects of fundraising initiatives, including major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, planned giving, annual fund, and capital campaigns.
2. Develop and implement a comprehensive and innovative communications strategy that includes media relations, digital and social media, and marketing to enhance the organization's visibility and reputation.
3. Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, stakeholders, and community leaders to secure and increase philanthropic support.
4. Oversee the creation and implementation of marketing and communications materials and ensure consistency in the organization's brand identity.
5. Work closely with the CEO and other executive team members to develop and implement strategic plans.
6. Monitor and report on fundraising and communication activities and outcomes, ensuring transparency and accountability.
7. Lead, mentor, and develop the development and communications team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of senior-level experience in fundraising and communications, preferably in the healthcare or medical industry.
3. Proven track record of securing major gifts and meeting fundraising goals.
4. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of audiences.
5. Strong leadership skills with experience in strategic planning and team management.
6. Proficiency in donor database management, digital marketing tools, and social media platforms.
7. Demonstrated ability to think strategically, creatively, and proactively.
8. High ethical standards and a commitment to the organization's mission and values.
