Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement financial strategies and systems that align with the company's overall goals.
2. Supervise and manage the finance team to ensure all financial tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively.
3. Oversee all audit and internal control processes.
4. Perform regular financial analysis, prepare detailed reports and present findings to the board of directors and other company executives.
5. Manage company’s cash flow and forecasting. Direct all financial, project-based, and departmental accounting.
6. Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis.
7. Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executives.
8. Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.
9. Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation, ensuring the company's financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.
10. Oversee complex accounting functions including inventory and cost accounting.
11. Manage and oversee the entire budgeting process, including the development, planning, and execution of the company's budget.
12. Handle grant accounting, ensuring all grants are managed according to company and grantor requirements.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field. A Master’s degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a proven track record of success.
3. In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.
4. Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
5. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP).
6. An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
7. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
8. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
9. Thorough knowledge of risk management.
10. Experience with grant accounting and budgeting processes.
11. Proven experience overseeing audits, and managing complex accounting functions.
