Civil Engineer - Site/Land Development

Our wealth of experience includes land surveying, land development and land planning, civil engineering, environmental engineering, telecommunications and outside plant design, right of way negotiation and acquisition, electrical engineering, dry utilities design and coordination, project management, construction stakeout and construction inspection.

We have close relationships and familiarity with the various county agencies and their personnel in the Baltimore Metropolitan Area, including Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, Howard County, Carroll County, Harford County, and Cecil County.

We are a team of over 60 employees that includes professional engineers, registered land surveyors, designers, drafters and field personnel. Our people are highly-qualified and receive consistent training on the most up-to-date technology and practices.

Responsibilities:

• Site layout and design.
• Utility design, including storm drain, water and sewer. Knowledge of conduit and dry utility systems.
• Site grading to include ADA compliance.
• Stormwater Management and Erosion and Sediment Control.
• Work closely with project managers to establish project timelines and designs.
• Develop diagrams and visual aids and prepare design specifications.
• Execute project based on outlined criteria.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of civil engineering experience related to site design, land development and land use permitting.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of accepted industry software
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills and design skills.

Preferred Experience:

• MicroStation
• Civil 3D

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
