We are growing, and we’d love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Civil Project Engineer – Water Wastewater Engineer in our FL office. As a Civil Project Engineer – Water Wastewater Engineer you will be responsible for assisting Project Managers with detailed engineering analysis in the preparation of engineering reports, permit applications and construction plan preparation. They direct and train Civil Design Technicians and/or Civil Designers. Independently evaluates, plans, and conducts work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.

Some key duties and responsibilities include:
Assisting Project Managers with detailed engineering analysis in the preparation of engineering reports, permit applications and plan preparation
Providing design and oversight on water / wastewater municipal projects
Independently evaluating plans and conducting work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria
Creating new alternatives/approaches to problems encountered and performing difficult and technically challenging work within a specialty area
Exercising project leadership in a technical or managerial way on certain projects or overseeing portions of large projects
Preparing Master Planning Reports / calculations
Present findings from design reports and design alternatives
Qualified candidates should possess the following skills, education, and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
IL Professional Engineer license
Minimum of six years’ experience desired
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans and drawings
Ability to interpret state and local design criteria and apply it to the specific project needs
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs and AutoCAD Civil 3D software
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
Ability to consistently produce high quality construction document

Key skills and abilities needed for the position are:
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans and drawings;
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction;
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs and AutoCAD Civil 3D software;
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups.

Education and experience requirements are:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering;
Professional Engineer license;
Four to six years’ experience of engineering design in an engineering firm.
