As a Transportation Engineer, you will be a vital part of our team, working on a variety of projects that require innovative and sustainable solutions. You will be involved in the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of transportation systems, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and oversee the construction of transportation systems, including roads, bridges, airports, rail systems, seaports, tunnels, and so on.
- Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labor costs.
- Prepare and present public reports on topics such as bid proposals, environmental impact statements, or property and right-of-way descriptions.
- Use design software to develop models and plans for transportation systems.
- Manage and direct staff members and the construction, operations, or maintenance activities at project site.
- Design, or supervise the design of, transportation systems to comply with engineering principles and environmental regulations.
- Perform or oversee soil testing to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations.
- Assess the environmental impact of transportation projects and develop strategies to mitigate these impacts.
- Collaborate with other engineers, planners, and environmental scientists on projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in Civil Engineering, Storm water, Roadway Design, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, and Structural Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of design software and tools, including CAD.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-engineers.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
- Knowledge of government regulations and guidelines related to transportation projects.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest technological developments in the field.
