The Strategic Growth & Client Development Manager plays a key role in advancing go-to-market strategies, client targeting efforts, and strategic growth initiatives. This role supports industry sector leads, senior partners, and business development colleagues in driving cross-sector collaboration, building thought leadership campaigns, and growing key client accounts.
Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with sector leadership to execute strategic growth plans and identify new business opportunities.
Manage client pipelines and sector targeting strategies with a focus on cross-practice integration.
Build content-driven marketing campaigns and thought leadership that reflects client priorities and industry trends.
Shape responses to strategic RFPs and pursuits alongside pricing and proposal teams.
Maintain marketing collateral, pitch decks, client playbooks, and web content tailored to priority sectors.
Leverage data tools and BD tech (including AI-driven platforms) to optimize targeting, ROI tracking, and client insight delivery.
Coordinate high-impact sector events, webinars, and sponsorships aligned with revenue goals.
Partner with communications teams to elevate sector and client visibility through media, awards, and digital outreach.
Support onboarding and integration of lateral hires with a focus on client introductions and cross-sell opportunities.
Track growth metrics across sectors and key accounts using dashboards and reporting tools.
Stay current on market trends and competitive intelligence to inform proactive client engagement.
Ideal Candidate Profile
6+ years of experience in business development or marketing within professional services, ideally legal.
Strong understanding of legal industry sectors, client relationship management, and cross-functional growth strategies.
Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proficient in CRM systems and marketing automation tools; experience with AI-driven BD platforms is a plus.
Strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and can manage multiple priorities.
Strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and a focus on results and client value.
Education & Experience
Minimum: High School or GED
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or related field
