We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Clinical Staff Pharmacist to join our dynamic team in the medical industry. The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree and be licensed in the State of Texas. The candidate must have experience in providing education to patients of all age groups, ranging from newborns to the geriatric population. The candidate must also have IV certification within 90 days of hire and have experience with Meditech.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safe and effective use of medications by patients
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care
• Provide education on medications and their potential side effects to patients and their families
• Review medication orders and ensure that they are appropriate for the patient's condition and medical history
• Monitor patients for potential drug interactions and adverse reactions
• Participate in the development and implementation of medication-related policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate and complete medication records
• Provide guidance and support to pharmacy technicians and other staff members
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmacy practice and medication therapy management

Qualifications:

• Current Pharmacist certification or licensure in the State of Texas
• Doctorate of Pharmacy degree
• Graduated from an accredited School of Pharmacy, PharmD preferred
• Education in all age groups ranging from newborn to the geriatric population obtained either in school education or subsequent training
• IV certification within 90 days of hire
• Meditech experience preferred
• 3+ years of experience in a clinical pharmacy setting
