Through our extensive network of hot mix asphalt and ready-mix concrete plants, quarries, and liquid asphalt terminals PII delivers the highest quality materials and custom solutions to thousands of road construction and road maintenance customers throughout the state of New York and New England. In addition, the company’s construction operations include paving and road reclamation services as well as precast/pre-stressed concrete production and erection of multi-level parking structures, specialty buildings, and bridge components.

Position Description
Job Summary:

The Cloud Engineer focuses on Azure Security & Management. Experienced in Complete Cloud life cycle planning, delivery, and strategy, along with cloud computing and technology solutions on Azure, the Cloud Engineer is hands-on in Azure Development and has experience with Azure web application, Azure application services, Azure storage, Azure SQL Database, and virtual machines.

Essential Functions:
1. Manage the technical configuration and governance for the environment
2. Manage the Azure/Office 365 tenant
3. Design and implement cloud solutions that are secure, scalable, resilient, monitored, auditable, and cost-optimized
4. Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Industry standard tools and services
5. Write application deployment automation using industry-standard deployment and configuration tools
6. Design and implement continuous delivery pipelines that serve the purpose of provisioning and operating client test as well as production environments
7. Assess existing systems to discover potential weaknesses that could compromise cloud security
8. Provide systems support including responding to monitoring alerts
9. Implement and stay abreast of Cloud and Cloud industry best practices and tooling
10. IT infrastructure maintenance and management which comprises hardware, software, network, storage, virtual and remote assets, and control over cloud data storage
11. Planning and implementation of data and storage management solutions in Azure (SQL, Azure files, Queue storage, Blob storage)
12. Assess existing systems to discover potential weaknesses that could compromise cloud security
13. Familiar with virtualization technologies, i. e., VMware, Hyper-V
14. Work with developers to identify necessary Azure resources and automate provisioning
15. Document automation processes
16. Create and document disaster recovery plan
17. Work with the development team and key stakeholders to create a plan for monitoring Azure resources
18. Work closely with key stakeholders to capture, analyze, and derive Cloud requirements

Position Requirements
Requirements, Education and Experience:

Five (5) years of Azure experience, required
Proficient verbal and written English
Legal right to work in the U.S.
