SUMMARY:
Responsible for the daily programming and operation of the Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) laser cutting machine. Follows established quality and safety standards.

Responsible for the daily programming and operation of the Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) laser cutting machine. Follows established quality and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Programs, sets up, and operates CNC laser cutting machine or other machinery according to blueprint specifications.
- Utilizes G or M code, CAD and CAM software (Truetops preferred).
- Tests accuracy of settings and programs.
- Operates machines and monitors operation and controls panel displays to detect malfunctions and make adjustments.
- Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function
- Startup, operation, shutdown and maintenance of CNC fiber laser machine.
- Select nozzles for particular material being processed.
- Load programs and set machine parameters to achieve best performance.
- Operate gantry, jib crane, and forklift
- Load/install cutting fixtures onto machine. Also, uninstall and unload store fixtures.
- Troubleshoot and identify machine problems.
- Perform first, last and periodical checks on parts utilizing precision measuring equipment and associated quality documents.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Two (2) years of directly related experience.
- Basic reading, writing, and some advanced math skills required.
- Ability to read, interpret, and create blueprints and schematics. \
