Our company, a leading player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Consulting CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team. As a Consulting CNC Lathe Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts. Responsibilities:
1. Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
2. Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
3. Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
4. Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.
5. Test operation of machines periodically to guarantee their smooth running.
6. Maintain machinery, adjusting and repairing as necessary.
7. Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the production process.
8. Determine and program size of batches, speed of machine, etc.
9. Monitor machine operation and control panel display and compare results to specifications, using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
10. Confer with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC lathe machinist in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
3. Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
4. Excellent knowledge of 3-axis and 4-axis machining.
5. Experience with lathe operation, blueprint reading, precision measurement, CNC machine operation, machine setup, and tooling.
6. An in-depth understanding of the properties of metal and other material.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
8. Strong attention to detail with a high degree of mechanical aptitude.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong team player.
10. Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
