Job Details

Position/Title: CNC (Lathe or Mill) Machinist IV
Wage: $27-$35hr

Experience: CNC Machining and Set Ups: 5+ years
Ideal Candidate: Specifically, we are looking for individuals with extensive Mill and/or live tool lathe experience

Job Type: Full-time*Direct Hire*
Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 4-day work week: Monday – Thursday
1st or 2nd shift (2nd Shift highly preferred) 6a-4:30p and 4p-2:30a

The Lathe Set-up Machinist is responsible for setting up CNC tooling and fixturing as well as operating CNC equipment in small production runs. Responsibilities include:

Read and interpret complicated blueprints.
Prior experience with Mastercam helpful.
Responsible for setting up complex set ups, machining parts and editing programs at the machine
Individual would be responsible to help set up, prove out jobs and run small production runs
Operates CNC machinery to perform machining operations on plastic pieces to specific specifications
Responsible for maintaining quality and safety standards, housekeeping, process integrity,
monitoring of calibration of all measuring equipment used and monitoring machinery and tools to ensure safe correct and optimum performance
Install preset jobs and setup tooling, fixturing and machinery
Verify the paperwork, print number, revision levels, operation sequence, materials, program and check sheet are all correct and consistent
Run jobs in an efficient, organized and safe manner while following the work instructions on the print and/or work order sequence
Maintain the workflow and perform quality audits as required to ensure that the product meets or exceeds the customer specifications
Deburr parts following the work instructions on the work order sequence or on the print
Change worn or broken tooling using appropriate procedures
