Commercial Project Manager (Construction)

Our client is a family owned and operated entity headquartered in Albany, NY that encompasses three unique divisions of expertise that can be detailed as Construction, Development and Property Management. Over the years, their reputation has resulted in strong relationships with clients such as developers, property management firms, municipalities and engineering firms. While our values remain the same, our specialties have grown to participate in both the public and private sectors for a diverse portfolio

With a current pipeline of over $500M, they are steadily adding work in the Capital Region. With such a large amount of work to be done - and more coming in - this client is looking to hire an experienced Project Manager to help manage their exciting projects.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating and managing all necessary project resources from start to finish on time and within budget in a highly collaborative environment
• Managing personnel development
• Communicating job expectations, enforcing policies & procedures, and managing & coaching employees
• Conducting regular meetings with the team to ensure work is on schedule, within budget and complies with technical, safety and legal requirements
• Must be a strategic problem solver who can add value to our customer's projects
• May work with preconstruction team in development of project
• Managing budget and financial reporting, interpreting and analyzing reports to ensure adherence to project budget

Qualifications:

• Experience with ground-up commercial or multifamily construction projects required
• 5+ years of total, progressive project management with a GC
• Applicable project management software knowledge
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or something similar
