Senior Level Commissioning Engineer
Candidates should have good communication and organizational skills. Experience with HVAC building automation controls and electrical systems is emphasized and makes a candidate highly competitive. The candidates should have experience with facility management/maintenance, building construction, HVAC system operation, and/or building design processes.

This position is best suited for motivated problem solvers who enjoy a blended balance of in and out of office construction environment in a variety of industries with travel potential.

Principle Duties and Accountabilities:
The Commissioning Engineer leads a commissioning team to verify the building systems are designed, constructed, and operate to meet the Owner’s operational needs and the Engineer’s design intent. Commissioning Engineer will frequently interact with owner, owner’s representatives, construction teams, and design teams to meet the goals and fulfill the commissioning duties and responsibilities.

Minimum Required Education, Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Construction Management related field.
Commissioning Certification (e.g ASHRAE (BCxP), NEBB (CxPP), BCA (CCP), or AABC (CxA), etc.)
5+ years experience as a commissioning provider / commissioning agent.
Excellent in interacting with owner, contractor, and design team in a professional manner.
Experience in developing commissioning documentation such as OPR, Cx Plan, Cx Specifications, etc…
Experience in writing functional tests and testing MEP systems including HVAC controls.
Proficient in using technology and software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook, and online/mobile commissioning software.

Desired Qualifications, Experience, and Qualifications
Registered Engineering Intern (EI) or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
Experience in building design and construction.
HVAC and Building Automation Controls experience
Licensed Electrician or Electrical Design experience
Experience in Test, Adjustment, Balance
Business software experience (eg. Sharepoint, PowerBI, SQL, Outlook, MS Teams)
