Commissioning Technician

Jobot is looking for a Commissioning Technician for a clean infrastructure construction company for projects across the United States. • 100% travel to assigned project(s); field and on-site office-based work.
• Must have the ability to travel, be flexible in traveling to multiple states, work on-call during off-shift hours, and weekends.
• Must be able to comply with all company safety standards and procedures including OSHA requirements.
• Must follow organization policies and procedures.
• Individuals in this position work in an outdoor environment and must be able to tolerate all climates.

Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent SCADA Commissioning Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting various types of field equipment, SCADA systems, PPC, HMI, and PLC. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the cutting edge of technology, with a focus on innovation and problem-solving. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, providing technical expertise and support to ensure the successful completion of these projects.

Responsibilities:

• Commission, test, troubleshoot, and maintain various types of field equipment, SCADA systems, PPC, HMI, and PLC.
• Work closely with the engineering team to implement and validate system designs.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system design documents, test plans, and commissioning reports.
• Assist in the training of end-users on the operation and maintenance of systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and safely.
• Respond to emergency call-outs to diagnose and repair system faults.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our systems remain competitive.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the technology industry.
• Proven experience with commissioning, SCADA systems, field equipment, PPC, HMI, and PLC.
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of system design and architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair system faults.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A relevant degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools.
