Job Details

The Construction Defect Attorney will be responsible for handling a variety of construction defect cases, representing property owners, developers, contractors, and other stakeholders.

This role involves conducting thorough investigations, managing litigation processes, and providing strategic legal advice to clients.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction law and a proven track record of successfully resolving construction defect disputes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in construction defect litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to identify and analyze construction defects and related issues.
  • Collaborate with experts, including engineers and contractors, to develop strong cases.
  • Manage all aspects of the litigation process, from discovery to trial and settlement negotiations.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients on construction defect matters and potential resolutions.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations as required.
  • Stay current with developments in construction law and related regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring effective communication and client satisfaction.
  • Work collaboratively with other attorneys and staff within the firm.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction law, with a focus on construction defect litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of construction law, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex litigation and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
