We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Estimator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a team of dedicated professionals in the engineering industry. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, with a special focus on project estimation, quantity takeoffs, and general contracting. The Construction Estimator will be involved in all stages of our projects, from initial planning to final execution, ensuring that all work is completed on time and within budget. This role requires a high level of precision, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other related expenses.
2. Conduct quantity takeoffs for all phases of construction, from site preparation to finishing work.
3. Work closely with project managers and other team members to develop project schedules and work plans.
4. Evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals for completeness and accuracy.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
6. Utilize specialized software to create and present detailed cost reports and estimates.
7. Participate in project meetings and provide updates on cost estimates and budget status.
8. Analyze project risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential cost overruns.
9. Collaborate with the design team to ensure project specifications and requirements are accurately reflected in cost estimates.
10. Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in construction materials and methods.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role.
3. Proven experience with a General Contractor, quantity takeoffs, and Project Estimation.
4. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
5. Proficiency in construction estimating software and other related computer applications.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
8. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
9. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Professional certification in construction estimating or project management is a plus.
