A growing, publicly-traded, Arizona-based retail entity is currently hiring for an experienced Project Manager – Commercial Construction for an immediate, growth-related role. This can be a fully-remote role for candidates who reside in the following states: Arizona, California, Florida, Minnesota, and Utah. The position will include performing the day-to-day project management responsibilities and coordinating the development process from initial project conception, through initial design development, preparation, submittal, and processing of permitting documents, and ultimately bidding of final construction documents.

Job Details

  • Partner with internal customer operations to drive delivery on engagements with enterprise customers
  • Work closely with consultants and vendors to solicit, review, and execute contracts in a timely manner
  • Evaluate the local code requirements and permitting processes and schedule deadlines accordingly
  • Work closely with and manage project consultants to ensure project is coordinated with all parties involved
  • Coordinate with outside design professionals for engineered drawings and specifications required for permitting and construction
  • Coordinate with vendors for equipment drawings and specifications
  • Coordinate with consultants and vendors throughout the process to ensure that all matters pertaining to the project and schedule are communicated and addressed in a timely manner
  • Prepare applications and associated pre-application documents for submittal to internal leadership
  • Coordinate with and manage consultants to timely submit and process construction documents to leadership as needed for permitting
  • Track project status, prepare and provide weekly project status reports
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree in either Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or similar area of study preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial development project management, architectural or engineering- related design/project management, or similar field
  • Familiarity with construction documents requirements for commercial projects
  • Working knowledge of the design, permitting, and entitlement process
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam
  • Proficiency with Abode Acrobat DC
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar project management system a plus
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD a plus
  • Excellent writing, communication, time management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deliverables, and competing timelines
  • Hardworking and acts with a sense of urgency to accomplish key objectives
  • Willingness to travel as needed
