Job Details

Description: Overall management of one or more specific engineering and/or construction projects to ensure that the client receives a facility designed, engineered and constructed within the scope of the contracts to meet their needs on time and within budgets.

The PM would be in charge of managing a small to medium-size project of up to $15 million in projected construction cost.

Job Duties:
o Participates in project estimating and proposal preparation to the extent required
o Enters all information for AWA’s, meeting minutes and change orders in ProMIS
o Help define project scope, assist in determining work packages, and to help develop schedules, and budgets
o Has regular contact with the client representative to obtain the more detailed information required
o Documents all changes in scope, see that the client understands the consequent changes in cost and time and that the client authorizes the changes
o Coordinates all changes between the field, client, Engineering, Purchasing and Accounting
o Submits documents to Federal, state, and local authorities for code compliance review and obtains the various permits required
o Holds regularly scheduled project progress review meetings
o On-site supervision of staff and maintains staff morale
o Meets with client management periodically during a project’s term to resolve issues and at a project’s completion to obtain final client approvals
o Maintains a continuing business relationship with major clients as part of ongoing business development efforts

Requirements
o 4-year degree in Engineering or Architecture (preferred but not required)
o 10+ years’ experience in design or engineering and/or field construction
o Familiarity with Microsoft Office
o Ability to follow directions, make decisions and take initiative
o Experience leading team in complex fast-paced environments that require rapid technical decision making is a plus.
o Professional certifications in project management and/or construction / construction management a plus.
