Construction Superintendent

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all stages of project life cycle, including conception, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
• Manage and supervise construction activities on site, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to ensure all specifications are met.
• Develop and manage project budgets, prepare cost estimates, and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
• Coordinate and oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and optimal use of resources.
• Implement and enforce stringent safety protocols on site, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Regularly liaise with clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders, providing timely updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure work is progressing as planned and to identify any potential issues or delays.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
• Proven experience with budgeting, blueprint reading, contract negotiation, materials management, construction estimating, and construction safety.
• Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in construction management software and other relevant computer applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• A valid driver's license and ability to travel to various construction sites as needed.
