Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all stages of project life cycle, including conception, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
- Manage and supervise construction activities on site, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to ensure all specifications are met.
- Develop and manage project budgets, prepare cost estimates, and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
- Coordinate and oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and optimal use of resources.
- Implement and enforce stringent safety protocols on site, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Regularly liaise with clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders, providing timely updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure work is progressing as planned and to identify any potential issues or delays.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Proven experience with budgeting, blueprint reading, contract negotiation, materials management, construction estimating, and construction safety.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in construction management software and other relevant computer applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- A valid driver's license and ability to travel to various construction sites as needed.
