Controller For Boutique Law Firm

Our client, a leading law firm in Coral Gables, is seeking an experienced Controller to join their team in a full-time capacity.

This is a confidential search for a crucial role within the firm's financial leadership.

• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and reporting
• Manage and present financial reports during equity partner meetings
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with banking institutions
• Oversee and authorize wire transfers to ensure secure and timely transactions
• Create detailed financial projections and perform complex calculations to support strategic decision-making
• Conduct thorough monthly reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
• Supervise a team of 2 billing managers and 1 accounts payable specialist
• Provide hands-on assistance with accounts payable processes when necessary
• Work closely with attorneys to manage billable hours and optimize revenue
• Utilize TABS3 software for efficient financial management and reporting
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and firm policies

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Controller or similar role within a law firm setting
• In-depth understanding of law firm financial operations, including billable hours and legal accounting practices
• Strong proficiency in financial management, analysis, and reporting
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team
• Advanced knowledge of TABS3 software and other relevant financial systems preferred
• CPA certification preferred
