Job Details

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit readiness. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong operational focus and deep technical accounting expertise, ideally honed through public accounting and experience in the software industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and deliver accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies in compliance with GAAP.
  • Manage audits and ensure audit readiness, working closely with external auditors.
  • Oversee tax compliance and liaise with external tax advisors.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning in collaboration with FP&A and leadership.
  • Drive continuous process improvements and implement scalable accounting systems and tools.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, such as revenue recognition under ASC 606.

Qualifications
  • CPA required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s or MBA preferred.
  • 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a public accounting firm.
  • Software/SaaS industry experience required—either from public audit or in-house roles.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, especially related to SaaS revenue models.
  • Demonstrated experience with FP&A responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, scale processes, and thrive in a high-growth environment.
