The Controller will be responsible for managing all day to day accounting and finance operations for several of our key customers. The Controller should have 5+ years of experience in a financial leadership position, and be well-versed on financial reporting, month/year-end closing, audit prep, ERP support, and special projects as needed.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing the firm's financial operations and ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.
2. Preparing and presenting accurate and timely financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
3. Overseeing and managing the month-end closing process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
4. Conducting complex reconciliations of all accounts and ensuring all financial records are maintained accurately.
5. Providing strategic input in the firm's financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
6. Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls to safeguard the firm's assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
7. Managing the firm's ERP system to ensure it is used effectively and efficiently for financial reporting and analysis.
8. Collaborating with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve the firm's financial performance.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA designation is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the legal industry.
3. Solid understanding of GAAP and experience with financial reporting, month-end closing, and reconciliations.
4. Proficiency in using ERP systems for financial reporting and analysis.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound financial decisions.
6. Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
8. High level of integrity and professionalism with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
