We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controller to join our dynamic finance team in the healthcare industry. As the Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulations.

2. CPA Expertise: Utilize your CPA certification to provide guidance on complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and financial statement disclosures. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and implement necessary adjustments.

3. Healthcare Finance: Apply your knowledge of healthcare finance to analyze and interpret financial data specific to our industry. Collaborate with department heads to develop financial strategies that optimize operational efficiency and support organizational goals.

4. Contracts Management: Oversee the management of contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, accurate billing, and timely collections. Review contract proposals and negotiate favorable terms to minimize financial risks.

5. Audit and Tax Reporting: Coordinate and support external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries. Prepare and file accurate tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.

6. Budgeting: Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic and achievable financial plans. Monitor budget performance throughout the year, providing analysis and recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications:

1. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the healthcare industry. Proven track record in financial reporting, CPA, contracts management, grant accounting, audit and tax reporting, and budgeting.

2. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is required.

3. Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making.

4. Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

5. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

6. Problem-Solving Abilities: Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and resolve financial issues promptly. Strong critical thinking skills to develop innovative solutions.

7. Software Proficiency: Proficient in financial management systems, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant software applications.
