We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role within our organization, where you will be responsible for managing and improving our financial processes. You will be instrumental in ensuring the financial health of our company by managing our financial procedures, including accounts payable/receivable, costing, and the preparation of financial statements.


As a Permanent Controller, you will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting.
3. Directing accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and other accounting functions.
4. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
5. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
6. Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
7. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
8. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
9. Working closely with other members of the leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans.
10. Providing leadership, direction, and management to the finance and accounting team.


The ideal candidate for the Permanent Controller position must possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA designation is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the services industry.
3. Proven experience as a small company controller, with a strong understanding of accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable, costing, and financial statements.
4. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial data in a clear and concise manner.
6. Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
7. Advanced knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
9. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
