Job Details

The Controller oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management, and G/L activity for the company. They are responsible for financial reporting as required under company standard operating procedure and as requested based on business needs. In addition, they directly oversee direct reports that are responsible for varied accounting functions within the company.
  • Provide direction and support to direct reports to ensure the accounting department's effective fiscal and operational management.

  • Manage all functions of payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, general ledger, and general accounting.

  • Oversee the preparation of external and internal reporting requirements, including financial statements, as necessary.

  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and year-end analysis, including reconciliation of accruals, Days Sales Outstanding, and cash position reporting.

  • Manage the monthly closing process, including line item, accrual verification, and operational performance.

  • Serve as lead liaison to external auditors.

  • Establish and maintain internal controls and perform audits of all accounting department areas.

  • Prepare financial statements according to company standard operating procedure.

  • Manage company cash flow, including cash forecast.

  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate financial internal controls related to revenue recognition

  • Review accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and appropriate accounting procedures.

  • Manage accounting department workflow and standards.

  • Track and ensure payment of all business-related taxes.

  • Maintain a vital role in all forecast and budget preparations

  • Manage bank relationships, including quarterly compliance reporting


  • High proficiency in all Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

  • Relevant understanding and experience with US GAAP.

  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

  • Ability to consider potential actions' relative costs and benefits to choosing the most appropriate one.

  • Ability to work in ordinary office conditions and occasionally attend off-site meetings.

  • Ability to access and accurately input and manipulate information using a highly complex computer system.

  • Ability to maintain electronic and manual files and perform administrative duties as required.

  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.

  • Active listening skills to understand and interpret employee and customer requirements.

  • Excellent professional communication skills and appropriate grammar in communication tools, including but not limited to business correspondence, Email, and telephone calls.

  • Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

  • Superior organizational and time management skills and the ability to efficiently and effectively handle a myriad of duties simultaneously while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
