Job Details

The Controller reports directly to the CFO, President and CEO.

The Controller is responsible for the administration and management of corporate accounting and financial functions, including strategic planning, budgeting, rate forecasting, treasury and cash management, capital planning, new business finance functions and oversight of contract management in a DoD environment. Supports executive management (CFO, President and CEO), financial strategies and management of financial resources to ensure achievement of Company's business plans and objectives.

The successful candidate must have excellent skills and experience using Deltek CostPoint.

Duties will include:

Oversee Accounting, AP/AR, GL, Payroll, Contracts and Government Property.
Protect company assets through development and implementation of sound accounting policies and procedures.
Supports DCAA, DCMA, DOL & external financial audits.
Develops or updates annual DoD provisional rates
Submits the Incurred Cost Proposal.
Provide monthly Income and Balance sheets.
Provision adequate capital to meet current and future needs through development of an economical capital structure.
Assure optimum utilization of financial resources through sound forecasting and cash management.
Minimizes tax liability through planning, researching, executing and defending all federal, state, local and foreign taxes.
Supervises annual budget process and subsequent monitoring.
Researches FAR and tax code to resolve issues and provide recommendations.
Report writing from the financial system.
Develop and oversee internal control accounting policies and procedures.
Education/Experience required:

BA/BS required / CPA preferred. Public accounting experience preferred.
Minimum of 10 years DoD experience required.
Excellent knowledge of Deltek CostPoint 8.1 required.
5 years experience with a defense contractor.
