Controller

Our construction company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's financial operations, including full cycle accounting, staff management, and accounting processes. This is a full-time position that requires a candidate with at least three years of experience in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the company's financial operations, including full cycle accounting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Manage and supervise the accounting staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reports for management and external stakeholders
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Provide financial analysis and advice to management on business decisions and strategies
• Manage cash flow and ensure timely payment of invoices and other financial obligations
• Maintain and update financial records and accounting software, including Quick Books Enterprise and Excel
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Participate in audits and other financial reviews as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related experience
• At least three years of experience in a Controller or similar role
• Strong knowledge of full cycle accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting
• Experience managing and supervising accounting staff
• Proficiency in accounting software, including Quick Books Enterprise and Excel
• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis
