Our company is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Permanent Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing our financial operations, managing our accounting team, and ensuring that our financial reports are accurate and compliant with regulations. This role is integral to our company's success, as you will be involved in strategic planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting. You will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining financial controls and systems. Responsibilities
1. Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
3. Regularly produce financial reports and statements.
4. Coordinate all audit activities.
5. Collaborate with senior management to understand company's goals and strategy related to finance, budgeting, and cost control.
6. Implement financial management tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information.
7. Evaluate and oversee all benefits negotiations, thus providing the most competitive packages for our company’s employees.
8. Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team.
9. Engage the finance committee of the board of directors to develop short, medium, and long-term financial plans and projections.
10. Represent the company to financial partners, including financial institutions, investors, auditors, public officials, etc.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or professional accreditation such as certified public accountant (CPA) or certified management accountant (CMA) is preferred.
2. Proven experience as a Controller, with a minimum of ASC 606 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. High proficiency in financial management and accounting software.
5. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles, and Automated Financial Reporting.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work closely with a senior management team.
8. Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
9. Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
10. Experience in a senior financial managerial position will be considered an advantage.
11. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
12. Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
13. Ability to anticipate and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment is critical.
