The ideal candidate is a CPA with direct experience in oil and gas financial reporting and accounting. A background in public accounting, particularly auditing oil and gas clients, is highly desirable. This position involves working with four other seasoned oil and gas accountants within the department and reporting directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly GAAP financial statements
Cash management
Debt management
Review journal entries
Run point on external audit
Financial analysis


Qualifications

GAAP knowledge, CPA preferred
Direct oil & gas experience required (audited E&P clients at minimum)
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or 5 - 10 years of related experience
Strong accounting knowledge
Desire to learn about all aspects of the business
Willingness to teach others
