Our company, a leading player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a skilled and motivated Permanent Controls Engineer to join our innovative team. The successful candidate will be a key player in our technical team, working on cutting-edge automation projects that drive efficiency and productivity in our manufacturing processes. This role requires a deep understanding of PLC programming, Siemens, electrical troubleshooting, process control, automation, and industrial control.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain PLC programs for automation and control systems, primarily using Siemens.
2. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
3. Design and implement process control strategies to enhance manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
4. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and provide automation solutions.
5. Lead the design, testing, installation, and maintenance of control systems and related equipment.
6. Evaluate and improve current manufacturing systems, focusing on future technology and industry 4.0 principles.
7. Ensure all control systems are in compliance with industry safety standards and regulations.
8. Provide technical support and training to other team members as required.
9. Prepare and maintain documentation for all control systems, including diagrams, manuals, and SOPs.
10. Stay updated with the latest technology trends in industrial control and automation.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficient in PLC programming, particularly with Siemens.
4. Demonstrated experience in electrical troubleshooting and process control.
5. Familiarity with automation and industrial control systems.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems in clear, non-technical terms.
8. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on company needs.
10. Knowledge of industry safety standards and regulations.
