Controls Engineer

Jobot is working with a well-established client seeking a Controls Engineer with Robotics experience!

Controls system design and programming. This role requires travel 30% of the time!

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Controls Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining control systems for our automated manufacturing processes. You will work with a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our production lines. Responsibilities:

• Design and develop control systems for automated manufacturing processes, including PLC programming, HMI design, and electrical schematics.
• Troubleshoot and maintain control systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
• Conduct testing and validation of control systems to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams to resolve issues and optimize performance.
• Develop and maintain documentation for control systems, including manuals, training materials, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in controls engineering, preferably in an automated manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency in PLC programming, HMI design, and electrical schematics.
• Experience with conveyor systems and conveyor belt controls.
• Knowledge of automation systems and robotics.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safety and quality standards for manufacturing processes.
