Are you a seasoned professional in the engineering industry with a passion for robotics, automation, and controls? This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Controls Director in the Manufacturing sector. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the control systems within our manufacturing environment, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with a focus on control systems and automation. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the design, development, and implementation of control systems for manufacturing processes, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
2. Utilize software such as RSLogix 5000, HMI, Ladder Logic, Allen Bradley, ABB, VFD, and Servo to design and implement control systems.
3. Manage and troubleshoot robotics and automation systems within the manufacturing environment.
4. Develop and implement individual development plans for team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
5. Maintain industrial networking systems and Ethernet/IP environment, ensuring that all systems are secure and functioning optimally.
6. Use AutoCAD to create and modify technical drawings and schematics for control systems.
7. Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes as necessary.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, incorporating them into our operations as appropriate.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the engineering industry.
3. Extensive experience with control systems software, including RSLogix 5000, HMI, Ladder Logic, Allen Bradley, ABB, VFD, and Servo.
4. Demonstrated experience in managing and troubleshooting robotics and automation systems.
5. Proficiency in industrial networking and Ethernet/IP environment.
6. Experience with AutoCAD or similar software.
7. Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage a team and foster a positive work environment.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
9. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical team members.
10. Must be up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
