Non-negotiable Requirements:

• 3-5 years’ experience doing Corporate Accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Have Advanced Sales Tax experience

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the Accounting Department.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Prepare and file sales tax returns for various states, ensuring accurate and timely submission.
• Research and stay up to date with state and local sales tax regulations in multiple states to ensure compliance.
• Provide ongoing support to franchisees in using the company’s ERP system and troubleshoot issues.
• Assist with audits by preparing and reviewing work documents.
• Report on financial performance and prepare reviews for franchise owners.
• Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Research, analyze and use independent judgment in a variety of daily and non-routine decisions.
• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports.
• Other projects as needed.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting required
• Public Accounting firm or Corporate Accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with financial analysis and reconciliation preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and data validation, identify data patterns.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills required and familiarity with data query.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with other members in the team.

Required Education & Training

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Master’s degree is beneficial but not required.
