Job Details


1. Tax Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize the company's tax liability and maximize tax savings. Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and proactively identify opportunities for tax optimization.

2. Federal Tax Compliance: Prepare and review federal tax returns, ensuring accurate and timely filing. Collaborate with internal teams and external tax advisors to gather necessary information and support for tax return preparation. Conduct research and analysis to support tax positions and document findings.

3. ASC 740 Compliance: Ensure compliance with ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes) standards. Prepare and review tax provisions, deferred tax assets, and liabilities. Maintain accurate and complete documentation to support tax positions and calculations.

4. Tax Audits and Controversy: Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and respond to tax inquiries. Represent the company in tax audits and assist in resolving any tax controversies.

5. Tax Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and review tax-related financial reports, including tax provision schedules, tax account reconciliations, and tax-related disclosures. Analyze tax data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement tax planning strategies accordingly.

6. Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, and share knowledge with the team.


1. CPA Certification: Possess an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, demonstrating a strong foundation in accounting principles and tax regulations.

2. Federal Tax Expertise: Extensive experience in preparing and reviewing federal tax returns. In-depth knowledge of federal tax laws and regulations, including tax planning strategies.

3. ASC 740 Proficiency: Strong understanding of ASC 740 standards and experience in preparing tax provisions and related documentation. Ability to analyze complex tax issues and provide accurate and well-supported tax positions.

4. Analytical and Problem-solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to research and interpret tax laws and regulations, and apply them to specific situations.

5. Communication and Leadership Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals. Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead and develop a team.

6. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate tax, preferably in a managerial role. Experience in the finance industry is highly desirable.
