Job Details:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cost Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. This is a permanent position that will play a critical role in our organization. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks related to inventory management, cost analysis, and financial reconciliation. This role requires a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry and a strong background in accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of inventory accounts and provide detailed reports to management.
2. Analyze and report on purchase price variances, identifying trends and making recommendations to optimize costs.
3. Conduct cost analysis on manufacturing processes and products, providing insights to drive profitability and efficiency.
4. Manage the warranty analysis process, identifying areas for improvement and cost savings.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate costing and inventory valuation.
6. Utilize Excel and other accounting software to streamline processes and improve data accuracy.
7. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
8. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
9. Participate in the creation and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
10. Support internal and external audits as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing accounting role.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with a strong understanding of its advanced functions.
4. Demonstrated experience with inventory reconciliation, purchase price variance, cost analysis, and warranty analysis.
5. Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant accounting standards.
6. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in an understandable manner.
9. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
