Job Details
We are seeking a Design Manager to join our team and contribute to the evolution of our modular healthcare components. You would start by joining the design team responsible for healthcare components including medical headwalls and bathrooms with exposure to complete patient room modules.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for design of healthcare modules including volumetric and wall panel products
- Manage team of product designers and coordinators to facilitate creation of documents required for coordination and manufacturing
- Coordinate with design, engineering, and fabrication teams to improve product designs
- Review modular components for regulatory compliance, system performance, and user experience
- Establish tools to ensure document quality such as work standards, written processes, and checklists
- Point of contact for clients in the creation and management of program design standards and potential design modifications
- Management of creation of Bill of Materials (BOM) used for cost estimates and material procurement
- Contribute to product development by coordinating material specification and prototype construction
Requirements
- 5 years minimum Revit experience (or demonstrated ability)
- Intermediate understanding of standard construction methods
- Experience in Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical (MEP) design preferred
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Manage a dynamic workload to balance time-sensitive manufacturing support and long-term design goals
- Proven work experience as a designer or similar role preferred
- Comfortable in open office, manufacturing, and construction environments
- Available by phone for morning team meeting (7:30am CST) and during manufacturing hours
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred
