Job Details

Oversee the Operational Accounting Team, including two Accounting Managers, an Accounting Supervisor and their teams;
Lead the team to complete month end tasks timely to ensure a timely and accurate close, including multiple subsidiaries in several countries with all accounting managed from the headquarter office;
Identify and modify processes and procedures for additional effectiveness and efficiencies;
Work closely with the Financial Statement, Operations, Tax, Customer Service, People Services and Product Management teams to ensure compliance with internal controls and help prepare audit documentation;
Work with Accounting team leaders to develop training documents for departmental tasks to increase effectiveness of task transitions;
Perform and implement processes to review transactions throughout the month to ready items for month end closing procedures;
Be a primary reviewer of high-risk account reconciliations;
Ensure totals by cost center are reported timely and accurately;
Help administer and oversee banking, merchant services and expense card accounts, including managing users;
Monitor cash, recommend intercompany fund transfers and book related entries;
Prepares, enters and posts journal entries to record financial activity to the general ledger for month end processes;
Standardize and oversee/prepare periodic reports to Management;
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA; minimum 7+ years’ experience managing a team and 3+ years managing the month end close process with demonstrated efficiencies implemented
Excellent analytical, creative problem solving, organizational and project management skills
Experience overseeing merchant services and treasury tasks preferred
Strong sense of ownership and curiosity to learn new skills
Career progression that shows initiative to be an active problem solver; ability to identify needs, communicate the needs and changes, and implement process improvements
Experience with consolidated financial statements and publicly traded company strongly preferred
Strong advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is mandatory
Ability to work independently with limited supervision; comfortable solving daily problems and bringing resolution without additional guidance needed
Positive attitude, sense of humor and ability to re-prioritize tasks quickly
Proven ability to work and excel in a team environment
Desire to work in an evolving environment; must be willing to embrace change quickly
Proven ability to maintain good work habits; punctuality and regular attendance are a must
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
Multi-lingual a plus
