Director of Accounting

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Director of Accounting to join our dynamic team in the Medical industry. As a Director of Accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions and ensuring compliance with GAAP. You will work closely with the Controller and other department heads to develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Must be located within commuting distance to Greensburg, PA.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full close cycle accounting process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team
• Collaborate with other department heads to develop and implement financial strategies
• Manage and monitor the budgeting process
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management
• Provide support for audits and other financial reviews

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA designation preferred
• 10+ years of professional accounting experience
• 3+ years of experience in long term care accounting or related industry
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other regulatory requirements
• Experience with full close cycle accounting
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
