- Lead and manage a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Develop and implement comprehensive engineering strategies, ensuring alignment with our company's business goals and objectives.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of our tech services.
- Leverage your technical expertise to solve complex engineering problems and make strategic decisions.
- Work closely with other departments, including legal and operations, to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Mentor and coach team members, helping them to develop their skills and advance their careers.
- Participate hands-on in the development process, contributing your coding skills and technical expertise.
- Ensure the successful execution of projects, managing risks, and resolving issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the tech industry, preferably in a startup environment.
- Proficient in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Ruby on Rails (RoR).
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and their challenges.
- Proven track record of managing and leading high-performing engineering teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Comprehensive understanding of the legal aspects of the tech industry, including data privacy and intellectual property rights.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
