Job Details

Senior Engineer to join our growing technical services team. This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong management and technical skills in data analysis, interpersonal communication, and time management. The successful candidate will report to our VP of Engineering and work with our Engineering Department to develop and implement our technical services to support global commercial real estate clients. The Director of Technical Services will collaborate with our ESG, Engineering and Certifications Departments in support of our client’s environmental conservation efforts including energy, water, greenhouse gas emissions, waste, resilience, decarbonization efforts and environmental performance data analysis and support with various ESG reports.
Primary responsibilities for this position include leading and growing a team of engineers. This candidate will be responsible for performing the following services on behalf of our clients:

ASHRAE Level I and II audits
Performing indoor air quality (IAQ) assessments
ASHRAE 62.1 Ventilation Calculations
Water Audits
Net Zero and Decarbonization Assessments
Resilience Assessments
Due Diligence for New Acquisitions
Site visits are expected; therefore, this position requires the ability to travel.
This position requires coordination directly with our clients; therefore, they must have superior communication, writing, and presentation skills. The position also involves producing high-quality reports such as graphs, tables, and presentations to present to our clients.

Bachelor’s Degree: Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Energy Management, or other related fields

Master’s Degree: Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, other related fields
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE)
LEED Green Associate or LEED Accredited Professional – EBOM
Certified Energy Manager or Certified Energy Auditor

Passion for sustainability and green buildings
Experience using ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager
Experience conducting energy audits (ASHRAE Level I,II)
Ability to read and interpret architectural and mechanical building plans
A self-motivator with a strong work ethic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively work with a team
Detail-oriented mindset

Experience with ASHRAE 62.1 Ventilation Calculations
Knowledge of ASHRAE Standards
Knowledge of sustainability reporting initiatives such as GRESB, CDP, UNPRI, etc.
Knowledge of green building certifications such as LEED, Fitwel, WELL, IREM
