Job Details

  • Responsible for negotiating value-based and fee for service contracts and contract management with payors
  • Oversee Fee-for-service, value-based and risk-bearing entity contract management (including identification of opportunities and contract management, including contract renegotiations, reviews, database, and CRM)
  • Negotiate contracts to obtain the most competitive reimbursement
  • Develop a contracting process to evaluate contract terms
  • Evaluate, review and analyze to determine the financial impact of contracts
  • Prepare and present contracting pipeline and analysis to internal leadership
  • Partner with the Corporate Development team to prioritize target markets and payor contracting opportunities
  • Partner with Economics and Finance teams to determine the feasibility of contract success and apply analyses to negotiation strategies

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of leadership experience within a managed care or value-based care-oriented healthcare organization
  • Proven experience developing strategies and having oversight of implementation of strategies
  • 5+ years in a network management related role with contracting and negotiations experience involving payors and at-risk delivery systems, and structuring and managing fee-for-service and value-based agreements
  • Understanding of health care pricing and reimbursement methodologies (including incentive, risk-based models, network development)
  • Experience identifying, developing, and cultivating relationships with payor partners and risk-bearing provider organizations
  • Experience developing and leading execution of value-based business models associated with provider organizations (single specialty, multi-specialty, IPA etc.)
  • Knowledge of managed care market required (payors and risk-bearing organizations)
  • Familiarity with healthcare pricing, risk-based contracting, including capitation and gain sharing
  • Knowledge of principles of managed care negotiation
  • Role will require up to 25% travel
