The Director of Sales & Partner Development is a strategic business development leadership role responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive partnerships and affiliates strategy that aligns with the organization's overall goals and objectives. This position involves building and maintaining strong relationships with external partners and affiliates to drive business growth, enhance brand visibility, and create mutually beneficial opportunities. This Director plays a pivotal role in driving the organization's growth through strategic partnerships and affiliate relationships. This position requires a dynamic leader who can navigate complex business landscapes, build strong external relationships, and collaborate effectively with internal teams to achieve measurable results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnership Strategy Development: Develop and refine a clear and innovative partnerships and affiliates strategy that supports the organization's short-term and long-term goals. Collaborate with the executive team to align partnership initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Partner Identification and Acquisition: Identify potential partners and affiliates through market research, networking, and industry events. Evaluate potential partners based on strategic fit, target audience alignment, and potential for mutual benefit.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing partners and affiliates. Act as the main point of contact, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring partner satisfaction.
- Negotiation and Contracting: Lead negotiations with potential partners, drafting and finalizing partnership agreements that outline terms, objectives, and performance metrics. Ensure agreements are mutually beneficial and aligned with the organization's interests.
- Collaboration and Integration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, product, operations, etc.) to integrate partnership initiatives into broader business strategies. Collaborate to develop joint marketing campaigns, co-branded initiatives, and integrated product offerings.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for partnerships and affiliates. Monitor and analyze partnership performance, providing regular reports to the executive team and making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
- Affiliate Program Management: Oversee the development and management of the organization's affiliate program. Recruit, onboard, and support affiliates to maximize reach, revenue, and brand impact.
- Market and Competitive Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities related to partnerships and affiliates. Use insights to adapt and enhance the partnership strategy.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the partnerships and affiliates budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of partnership and affiliate managers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven track record of developing successful partnerships and affiliate programs, in the finance industry.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align partnerships with business objectives.
- Previous experience in business development leadership.
- Expertise in finance industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.
- Proficiency in using CRM and performance tracking tools.
