Job Details

Key Responsibilities:
Lead technical design and quality control for assigned projects, including system calculations and layouts.
Design structured cabling systems, audiovisual systems, security systems (access control & CCTV), and nurse call systems.
Collaborate with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to develop fully coordinated technology designs.
Apply and uphold best practices in engineering methods.
Oversee and contribute to the development of design documents from concept through detailed design for new buildings, renovations, and facility additions.
Develop comprehensive project specifications and document design and coordination decisions.
Identify and implement strategies to enhance cost efficiency internally and externally.
Participate in project coordination meetings with contractors, clients, and owners.
Conduct construction administration tasks, including site visits and shop drawing reviews per project requirements.
Mentor and support junior designers.
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
Perform quality assurance reviews on projects.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred, or an equivalent combination of a technical degree and relevant experience in designing building technology systems.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the AEC industry with extensive knowledge of building technology system design.
Proven experience in designing technology systems for healthcare, higher education, civic, or commercial buildings.

Certifications & Licenses:
BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification required.
Valid driver’s license with the ability to use an insured personal vehicle for work-related travel.

Qualifications & Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit.
Legal authorization to work permanently in the country without restrictions or the need for sponsorship.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to effectively perform all essential job duties.
