The EH&S Manager will lead the organization’s efforts on compliance, reduce risk, and identify and implement improvements related to EHS. Job Details

Duties and Responsibilities

Builds and develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the Company
Work with operating locations to provide EH&S input in developing, critiquing, and revising operating area procedures and work practices.
Inspects the facilities to identify safety, health, and environmental risks
Ensures adherence to health and safety guidelines and meets or exceeds all legal obligations
Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections
Leads development of training materials and conducts training sessions for all levels of the organization including new hire training, emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics
Identifies opportunities for improvement and develops new and effective procedures;
Coordinates audits and investigations to detect existing or potential environmental, health and safety hazards; identifies root causes, and determines potential corrective action or preventative measures to prevent reoccurrence
Work to integrate and promote human performance initiatives into our work practices to achieve operating excellence and prevent incidents that may result in injury, environmental issues, vehicle collisions, and equipment damage or other impact.

Must Haves:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health or related field
Eight years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
Travel is expected to comprise 25% - 35% of work time
Knowledge or background in the manufacturing industry preferred
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, claims handling, accident investigation, and insurance programs and policies
