We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Senior Manager to join our thriving engineering firm. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees by managing and implementing effective health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. This is a permanent position, where the successful candidate will be directly responsible for the development, execution, and continuous improvement of our EHS programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs that comply with federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to ensure compliance and identify potential hazards.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for all employees.
  • Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Develop safety procedures for high-risk activities and ensure they are communicated effectively to all staff.
  • Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics and conduct regular reviews to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead the development of organizational safety programs such as LOTO, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, Respiratory Protection, etc.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all EHS related matters, including regulatory agencies.
  • Promote a culture of safety within the organization through effective leadership and communication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, safety, environmental science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior EHS role within the engineering industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations and best practices.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is preferred.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing effective EHS programs.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Proficient in the use of EHS management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
