Electrical Designer

Our engineering firm is seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Designer to join our team. As a leading firm in the industry, we specialize in designing electrical systems for commercial buildings, micro grids, prime power generation, and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AutoCAD, Revit, lighting, power, fire alarms, low voltage, and other related areas.

Responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems for commercial buildings, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarms
• Develop and maintain electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications
• Collaborate with other members of the engineering team to ensure that designs are accurate, efficient, and meet project requirements
• Conduct site visits to assess existing electrical systems and recommend improvements or upgrades
• Work with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice and guidance
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and incorporate them into designs as appropriate
• Provide support and guidance to junior members of the team as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in designing electrical systems for commercial buildings
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software programs
• Strong understanding of lighting, power, fire alarms, low voltage, and other related areas
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
• Knowledge of micro grids and prime power generation is a plus
