Electrical Estimator

We are an Electrical contractor seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for commercial and industrial projects, including plan/spec and design/build.

You will collaborate closely with our design team to provide cost and schedule estimates and proposals to enable the company to make informed decisions and enhance its profitability and growth. You will be key in understanding the project requirements and determining key variables for cost and other estimates.

Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and industrial projects, including plan/spec and design/build.
Work closely with the design team to provide cost and schedule estimates and proposals.
Research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, etc.
Use software for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
Gather first-hand information from sites, warehouses, or other venues
Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors
Perform risk analysis
Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, etc.)
Provide consultation on planning (schedules, manpower needs, etc.)
Create and submit estimate reports or bids to appropriate persons (project managers, clients, bidding competitions, etc.)
