Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain the plant’s wastewater treatment system
Manage proper disposal of hazardous, non-hazardous, and universal waste
Conduct routine facility inspections and ensure timely remediation of environmental issues
Deliver training to employees on environmental topics:
Waste handling
Chemical hazards
Pollution prevention
Waste minimization
Prepare reports, maintain documentation, and support regulatory audits
Adhere to company policies and safety protocols
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in an environmental compliance role (manufacturing or industrial setting strongly preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Environmental Health & Safety, Chemistry, or a related field
Working knowledge of EPA, state, and OSHA regulations
Strong documentation, inspection, and reporting capabilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
Regularly required to walk, sit, speak, and use hands
Occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs
Industrial plant environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures
