We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Estate Planning Paralegal to join our esteemed legal team. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in a challenging and rewarding role, working closely with our team of attorneys to provide comprehensive estate planning services to our clients. The successful candidate will have a strong background in trusts and estates, estate planning, living wills, powers of attorney, dynasty trusts, life insurance planning, and asset planning.
Responsibilities:
As an Estate Planning Paralegal, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Assisting attorneys with drafting and reviewing estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
2. Conducting legal research and gathering relevant information to assist attorneys.
3. Preparing legal documents such as deeds, affidavits, and estate tax returns.
4. Coordinating with clients, financial advisors, and other parties to gather necessary information and documents.
5. Maintaining client files, including tracking deadlines and ensuring all documents are properly filed and organized.
6. Assisting with the administration of trusts and estates, including the preparation of probate documents and estate tax returns.
7. Providing general administrative support to the estate planning team, including scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, and maintaining client records.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Estate Planning Paralegal position will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an estate planning paralegal.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of estate planning, trusts, and estates.
3. Proficiency in drafting and reviewing estate planning documents, including living wills and powers of attorney.
4. Experience with dynasty trusts, life insurance planning, and asset planning.
5. Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear, concise advice.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
7. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
8. Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution.
